Game 12 – OSU

Man, I keep thinking about that game in 1902. Michigan flat-out destroyed Ohio State, 86-0! For some reason, I’m thinking 2019 is going to be a lot like that game in 1902.

But think for a minute, the greatest Tailgate in the world has more TVs, more heat and just as much indoor plumbing as those homes in Ohio had back in 1902 (or 2019 – I kid, I think).

As we sit back and think of the glory years, when Michigan won 13 of 15 (2 ties) between 1897 and 1918 we can scoff at Ohio State’s current 7-game win streak. Especially knowing that Michigan still holds the overall record of 58-50-6!!

Now on to the important stuff: Are you ready for some chili???

Coming off that great road win at Indiana we are headed for the last tailgate of the season. So let’s cheer on our blue team for the final game of the season and go out with a win on the field and with the tailgate as well.

So, that means it is time for you to dust off your recipe be it the Texas style, a white chili, or just a fantastic stew. Feel free to bring it in a container or if you will have a crockpot be sure to check that item on the signup so we can plan on space and power. We will have some burgers and dogs as well depending on what people signup to bring.

For those who want to come early, we hope to have breakfast around 8:30 am. Be sure to signup if you will be arriving early and let us know what you are bringing.

Click here to signup for the tailgate.

Oh, and if you were looking for the usual snarky post – be sure to check back for the update on Sunday.

Bring on the Spartans!

Alright people, after the big win under the lights and then on to Maryland for the road victory it is time to play the Spartans (wait, did they just blow a 28 point lead to Illinois?)

{Edit: Yes, they did}

With a noon start on a forecasted cold day we thought it would be a good time to bring out the comfort foods; after all, beating little brother is comforting.

We thought we would change it up this week so bring out your best sloppy Joe or Mac & Cheese or choose to contribute like normal. What you choose is up to you, just be sure to bring enough to contribute for your attendees. We will be sure to to have buns on hand and maybe even some burgers and dogs for those who want other options.

So choose option 1 and donate per person or option 2 and bring a main course or Mac & Cheese or even a stew to warm up people. Be sure to fill-in what you are bringing on the signup. We still need side dishes and desserts so be sure to cover that as well.

Speaking of keeping warm, why yes, the plan is to have hot cider.

What do you need to do? Bring in a side dish or dessert appropriate for your group size and signup here. If anyone wants to use PayPal, Venmo, or ApplePay just reach out to Rich or put a comment on your signup and we will contact you.

For those who would like to join us early to help setup be sure to indicate if you would like to join us for breakfast.
